Bangladesh is hosting millions of refugees who were forcefully displaced from the northern part of Myanmar. People have known about this humanitarian crisis since August 2017, but the genocide campaign started right after the citizenship act. A Rohingya survivor Nur Sadek says, “We here not by choice, we are here by chance. They have been deprived of their basic rights since 1982. They don’t have a written language and are not even allowed to enrol themselves as Rohingya students or citizens. They are culturally rich, but the junta government didn’t allow them to do cultural practices. All of the worlds have experienced “Ethnic cleansing “though survivors' experience proves the live genocide.“ Beyond all, it's a textbook example where a community has been deprived of their cultural practices rights since 1982, which referring as Cultracide genocide. This Refugee Path II Co-writing Workshop invites Suza Uddin, who is the country manager of Artolution (FB: fb.com/Artolution / Website: https://www.artolution.org ) will introduce the new form of the genocidal campaign which deprived millions of humans in modern history and how art intervenes/engages in refugee issues.
